Amway Center

If you have ever noticed a large gray box-like building right downtown next to I-4, then you are looking at Amway Center. Amway Center is now one of the ultimate meccas for large events in the Orlando area. You might barely notice while speed past it on I-4, but the Amway Center is located right at the intersection of Church Street and Hughey Avenue right in the heart of Downtown Orlando. The structure is one of the largest building structures that the Orlando area has put together in years. Amway Center is around 875,000 square feet and holds restaurants, bars, offices, shops and can even hold up to an estimated 20,000 guests for events.

Not only is the Amway Center the playing center for the Orlando Magic, but it is also home to the Orlando Predators and the future home of the Orlando Solar Bears. Amway Center also hosts tons of events every year including concerts, sporting events, celebrity speakers, live performances, and sporting events.

When you visit the Amway Center make sure to check out some of the restaurants and bars in the facility. There’s a bunch of them including: Jernigan’s Restaurant, One80 Grey Goose Lounge, 03 Bar, North Club Bar, Budweiser Baseline Bar, Gentleman Jack Terrace, Coors Light Mountain Bar, and the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge.

If you’re looking for places to park in order to see an event at the Amway Center, the City of Orlando put together a parking map that can be seen below. Since they built the area, they should be a good authority on where one can park……..we hope.
