Celebration Town Center

If you want to get away from it all and go some place different without leaving the Orlando area, check out the Celebration Town Center. Celebration is a small town originally planned out and started by Walt Disney World in the 1990′s. It was set up to function as a self-sustaining small city with its own school, hospital, restaurants, offices, and housing. Over the years the city of Celebration has flourished and the Celebration Town Center is right in the middle of it all.

The center has a good variety of restaurants and shops along side a great view of the lake and the park behind it. Celebration is a great place to get out and relax and it’s one of the few places in the area that offers the chance to stroll around and check out shops, restaurants, and stores without going to a large indoor mall or large strip plaza.

When you venture out to Celebration you’ll find a lot of boutique clothing and jewelry stores. You will also find a good variety of restaurants to dine at, including: the ever popular Market Street Cafe Restaurant and Diner along with Antonio’s, the Celebration Town Tavern, Imperial Food and Wine, Kilwin’s, Seito Sushi, and Columbia Restaurant.

While you’re at Celebration Town Center walking around, you’ll definitely want to stop in and briefly explore the Celebration Bohemian Hotel at the Celebration Town Center. It has a great lobby with hallways full of art by Florida Artists that are actually up for sale. Its almost like a small art gallery without a person wearing a suit behind you telling you to back away from the paintings. The lobby of the Bohemian Hotel is designed as an old time Florida style hotel, with all the modern conveniences of course. Have a drink at the bar and lounge in the lobby if you have the time.

Celebration also has a ton of events all year round ranging from Fourth of July style celebrations, to “Snow” in the December Holiday season, along with art festivals, auto shows, and even specialty shows like the Great American Pie Festival.

You’ll find Celebration just a few minutes from Orlando in the Kissimmee area. It’s fewer than 4 miles from Walt Disney World off of Highway 192/ Irlo Bronson.
