Enzian Theater

The Enzian Theater is one of Orlando’s great answers to culture. Located in the city of Maitland, just seconds North of Orlando, the Enzian is a nonprofit art-house theater which specializes in independent films and films that might be extremely popular but with only certain audiences. The movie house has its own bar, called Eden Bar, which allows movie goers and even those just looking to go to the bar enjoy a large private garden with large trees hovering over the park, the bar, and the theater. It’s a very chill but trendy crowd that always make it to Eden Bar.

For those that like to go to the movie theater, the Enzian is the place to see all the great films that just don’t make it to the big AMC and Regal Cinemas. The movie house also hosts tons of movie festivals throughout the year including the Florida Film Festival, Jewish Film Festival, South Asian Film Festival, Brouhaha, Gay Orlando Film Festival, and many more. Enzian also shows tons of well-known foreign films. For the movie goers that want to see old school famous movies that are maybe 10 to 30 years old for the first time on the big screen, the Enzian shows priceless classics like Airplane and the Rocky Horror Picture Show throughout the year. If only to add to its uniqueness, the Enzian is also one of the few theaters in the area with a full dine-in menu and actual tables and chairs allowing movie goers to enjoy a coffee, tea, appetizers, entrees, and desserts while watching their favorite movies. Special Unlocked Tip:

If you go to a film festival or special showing, see if you can get your tickets in advance to avoid large lines. For the most part, there aren’t reserved tables so if you want your pick of the best seats in the house, show up a little earlier to ensure easy parking and seats that aren’t too far in the back.
