The Imperial Wine Bar at Washburn Imports

A great new place in Orlando that locals love is the Imperial Wine Bar at Washburn Imports. For years Washburn Imports was a great place to find unique and trendy antiques great for those living in remodeled old style homes in the downtown Orlando, College park, and Winter Park areas. Then apparently someone had the idea to stick a bar in there and serve beer and wine to the same crowd that has been frequenting the store for years. Ever since that time, the bar, has been a big hit to the locals in Orlando who would like to go out for a drink, but want something that’s both laid back, but at the same time upscale. The bar area is a large wooden antique looking bar and patrons can sit anywhere around the somewhat large antique store on benches, chairs, couches and there’s even a spot outside in the back to sit and simply chill out when the weather is not too warm. Its not a sports bar and its not a dive bar. Its a different bar experience than most because you’ll be sitting amongst eclectic furniture, figurines, and art collected from around the world. Customers can choose from a large variety of specialty wines and craft beers. Occasionally they serve some finger food, and sometimes you’ll find a musician playing the guitar in the background. It’s a great place to meet friends or to take a date, and it totally beats meeting someone for coffee.

Special Unlocked Tip: If you arrive with a date or a group of friends and you want to be budget conscious, you might get a better deal amongst the group if you split up a bottle of wine purchased at the bar as opposed to everyone getting their own drink.
