Maitland is a small upscale city next door to Orlando and Winter Park. They have a beautiful Farmer’s market that hosts a large amount of local venders including those who sell home products, specialty foods, plants, and vegetables. One of the ideal things about the Maitland Farmers Market is that it is located around a small lake called Lake Lily. It’s a great opportunity for families to shop, and have a safe path to walk along. Visitors are often amazed by the ecosystem around the lake and it’s not uncommon to see families of ducks walking in straight line formations right next to you.
For those with small children there is also a small public playground right next to the market complete with slides and swings. There’s even a public restroom available. The Maitland Farmer’s Market can be found at Lake Lily at the intersection of Maitland Ave. and Hwy 17-92 at 701 Lake Lily Drive Maitland, FL 32751. It takes place every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, with the exception of holidays and certain festivals. Parking can be found at the park or in nearby lots, on occasion the Civic Center next door allows for parking when there aren’t any other events taking place.
Hours: Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m
