The Reptile World Serpentarium
Most Orlando locals have probably never even heard of this attraction. The Reptile World Serpentarium is a research facility that was founded in 1972. It’s a research facility that works to produce snake venom for study and for medical purposes. There are over 50 snake species for you and your entire family to check out and at around 3 p.m. along with other reptiles. They also have a regular showing every afternoon at around 3pm to demonstrate how venom is milked from a snake. Its an ideal place to take your kids to check out reptiles, many from Florida and from around the world. You’ll be able to see Copperheads, rattlesnakes, and Water Moccasins way up close. The Serpentarium is not too far out of the way, but it is definitely located Southeast of Orlando.
