Join the city of Maitland for their 35th Annual Maitland Rotary Art Festival from September 30th-October 2nd, 2011 at Lake Lily in Maitland. The show begins at 6pm-10pm on Friday September 30th along with lots of food, wine, beer and other entertainment. Visitors will be able to enjoy art under the stars featuring over 150 artists. The student exhibitions will take place in the Maitland Civic Center in the building next door. Hours on Saturday will be from 10am-10pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Admission is FREE! Special Unlocked Tip: Parking is always a sore subject at these events, but if you feel its unconstitutional to pay for parking for a neighborhood art festival event and you’re okay with walking a few extra blocks for exercise, try parking on one of the neighborhood side streets a few blocks away down Maitland Avenue and then walking to the event. There will also be some paid lots nearby and proceeds typically go to local nonprofit organizations so if you don’t feel like walking, you’ll feel good knowing you donated to a good cause.
