1st Thursdays at Orlando Museum of Art
1st Thursdays takes place at the Orlando Museum of Art from 6pm-9pm. Its takes place in the Orlando Loch Haven Museum and allows visitors to enjoy a nightly event with music, food, and art. Its a great place to network, meet friends, or meet new people. Its more of a formal event so business casual or more is typically worn by all the visitors many of whom are professionals arriving after work hours. Its not your typical local happy hour as it’s more of an elegant affair. The food is catered by local restaurants and patrons can also enjoy beer and wine that is served. Typically guests have free reign around the museum after entry and are able to enjoy the seasonal exhibits displayed. Admission is only $10, but it is FREE for Orlando Art Museum members. There are also live band performances every First Thursday. If you feel that Orlando has no culture or you’re simply tired of going to bars and restaurants to hang out on Thursdays, than this is the event in Orlando for you!

Special Unlocked Tip: If you can get there early, around 6pm, you should have no problem scoring a parking spot in the lot right out front of the museum and if that is full you can park right on Mills (Hwy 17-92) or down a side road. Otherwise if you miss those, you have to park in the “late penalty” parking garage lot at the Orlando Science Center, but it will only set you back $5.
