Maitland Art Festival

The Maitland Art Festival happens twice a year typically sometime around mid October and mid April every year. Lots of local and regional artists appear every year with paintings, sculptors, and jewelry.  Local venders including food venders also come to this localized event. One of the best parts of the festival is that you can enjoy the festival and the surrounding Lake Lily, which allows for an additional breeze during the hot spring days and even allows you to watch the families of ducks swimming around. It’s also a great event to take kids too, because number one, there is a kids playground, number two parking isn’t difficult, and number three it’s a smaller festival so it’s easy to walk past everything in 10 to 20 minutes.  The Maitland Library is also half a block away and they always simultaneously have a book sale where you can pick up some old books and some practically brand new books for anywhere from 25 cents to $3.  It’s a great deal for book lovers.  The Maitland Art Festivals goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
