Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is often known as the premier theme park in the Orlando area. Almost anyone that even steps in to Orlando is aware that Disney is the in the area. While Walt Disney World is a part of Orlando, its really its own city among Orlando with its own shopping, gas stations, police force, fire department, restaurants and everything. Currently there are 6 major parks within Disney World Orlando itself. There are Four theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom and two water parks: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.
The 4 theme parks are:
Magic Kingdom Park, which is similar to Disney Land California, which hosts different adventure areas within the park including: Main Street USA, Adventureland area, Frontierland area, Liberty area, Liberty Square, Fantasyland area, and Tomorrowland area. Each of these areas offer different adventures in the forms of rides, shows, shops, restaurants, parades, and its an overall great place to walk through and enjoy.
Epcot is the Disney park that is most dedicated to innovation, technology, and world culture. Epcot covers over 300 acres and is divided into two areas, Future World and the World Showcase. Future World is where most of the rides at Epcot are based and many of the rides at Epcot are centered on the future, and how people can grow with technology and advance in knowledge. The World Showcase is dedicated to countries around world. There are 11 countries in total and each of the countries has its own pavilion area. Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, and Canada are all countries represented at Epcot.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park offers exciting adventure rides paired up with movie-style action shows which look and feel like they are coming straight from a Hollywood movie. Tour through a Hollywood street setting set back in the 30′s and 40′s or check out the live-performance shows throughout the park. You can also find yourself on a backstage tour or face to face with some of your favorite movie characters.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is full of wildlife, adventure, and enchantment all of which is dedicated to nature and its conservation. Animal Kingdom has more than 1,700 animals made of over 250 different species. The park covers 500 acres making one of the largest animal parks in the world. There are 7 different areas to cover in Animal Kingdom: Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Rafiki’s Planet Watch, Asia, and Dinoland USA.
Disney also has two different water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
Experience the tropical enclave of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, complete with a lazy river, a large wave pool, and some of the fastest water slides. Typhoon Lagoon also is home to Shark Reef, where you can snorkel with real live sharks and Crush ‘n’ Gusher, the park’s very own water coaster.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
For a different take on water parks, try Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park for a day. Fashioned after a snowy ski resort, this chilling water park is sure to cool you down on a warm Florida day. You’ll also find some family-style raft rides along with one of the tallest and fastest water slides in the country known as Summit Plummet.
