Big Tree Park Longwood

**On January 16, 2012, the Senator burned to the ground like a chimney.** You can still go to Big Tree Park and visit Lady Liberty.**

Big Tree Park was donated to Seminole County in the late 1920′s. One of the biggest attractions here of course is the “Big Tree” which is known as “The Senator.” Its actually a large Cypress Tree, and is known as one of the tallest Cypress Trees in the Country standing at around 125 feet and is estimated to be around 3,000 years old.

Visitors can follow a quaint wooded path and find these natural skyscrapers toward the end. There is also a great playground for the kids to enjoy. While not the largest park in the land, its a great place to run and enjoy Florida. Big Tree Park is located in Longwood and is also enjoyed by residents in nearby cities such as Casselberry, Longwood, Sanford and Winter Springs.
