Cranes Roost Park
Crane’s Roost Park is located just a few minutes North of Orlando seconds away from Interstate 4 off of state road 436. It’s a 45-acre park that encompasses a shopping area known as Uptown Altamonte and it has a mile long jogging and walking path completely surround a lake in the center. There is also The Eddie Rose Amphitheater and a European inspired park next to the lake with a small fountain in the middle of the park ground. The area is perfect for those looking for a beautiful path to walk or jog on or great to take friends and family to hang out and enjoy the weather and the scenery.
Right next door is the Uptown Altamonte Plaza and the Altamonte Mall one of the largest and most well-known shopping malls in the area. Throughout the year you will find residents and out-of-towners enjoying the park, Altamonte Springs also hosts tons of events here at no cost. Some of the events include the locally famous “Red Hot and Boom,” Central Florida’s most populated 4th of July fireworks display which always takes place on July 3rd. Crane’s Roost also hosts Friday Night Live where guests can enjoy a FREE concert at the Amphitheater on select Fridays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the month. Ofcourse if you’re willing to splurge a few extra dollars you can purchase food and beverages from the surrounding vendors.
