Saturday January 21, 4:00 – 7:30 PM –”Eatonville Story: The Town that Freedom Built”
Roundtable discussion — scholars talk about Town’s founding within the context of Florida’s history
Mobile tours — visits to the historic Thomas House, the Moseley House Museum, and Rollins College
Monday January 23, 7:30 – 9:00 PM — “Zora in Eatonville: A Readers’ Theater”
Readers theatre production staged by J.D. Thomas Cultural Center and presented at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church
Based on Zora Neale Hurston’s Eatonville as found in Mules and Men, Dust Tracks on a Road and Eatonville Anthology
Wednesday January 25 — “Talking With the Flowers”
Guided tour of the University of Central Florida Arboretum with special emphasis on newly-developed section which features foliage from African and Mexico that requires no watering (1:00 — 3:00 PM)
Panel discussion on “landscape” from multidisciplinary perspective, as a prelude to “Yards & Gardens” mobile tours (7:30 — 9:00 PM)

Mobile tours over 2 ½ days featuring visits to some of Eatonville’s most interesting and varied landscapes and interpretive talks pulling forward an authentic portion of the Town’s history that resonates in the present

“I Am Going to Eatonville” — the first in a series of four exhibitions of visual works generated by four contemporary masters (Deborah Willis, Lonnie Graham, Terry Boddie, and Melvina Lathan)
Friday, January 27 – Sunday, January 29 – Outdoor Festival of the Arts – An amalgam of arts education, visual arts, and performing arts
